Saturday Recap

GREAT JOB TODAY! This may have been one of our most productive practices!

Let's recap.... People are hitting harder. Want proof? Look at Luke Davis. The offense is working hard to get more yards on each play. We are putting in plays to get us the 4-5 yards necessary on each play.

The line is hitting hard and trying hard. That will be the key for our success.

Believe in yourself and your brothers. Be ready to play the Clinton Chargers Monday night. Let's start turning things around right now. Great job, guys!

Be Ready For Saturday

Guys, we will practice Saturday at 11am on our regular field. Some new positions; some new responsibilities. If we ALL hit hard, try hard, and play like we are able, then we can win EVERY GAME we have left!!! No lie.

As a sidenote, I've reviewed the entire footage from Tuesday night. While we did a much better job, everybody is still missing responsibilities. Everybody. We just need to do the LITTLE things right.

And by the way: Terry violated a number of rules and never got caught. We will make sure that doesn't happen again. They will have to play according to the rules from now on. They are really good with some good, older, bigger kids. And more of them than we have. But, let's see what happens next time.

Sunday Night Update

Hey, guys. Be at the field on Monday night between 5:30pm and 5:40pm. Let's get ready for the TITANS.

Remember two things:

1. That last game doesn't control our destiny. At all.
2. If we win Monday and Tuesday, we only have to play one playoff game. Win that, and we are in the Championship!

Thursday Update

The practice fields are underwater. We can't practice today, so be sure to be at the usual field at 10am on Saturday. We will get in a bit of practice before our game that same morning. Don't be late!!!!

Monday 12th Update: 2:48pm

Games cancelled. Again. I went to Parks & Rec today and I think this is what will happen...

We will play either THURSDAY or SATURDAY on the Clinton High School field. My money is on SATURDAY.
My guess is that we will play TERRY - WHITE.

Either way, we will be practicing either Thursday or Saturday on the day we don't have a game. And we will have a good, hard, strong practice to get ourselves back into a football mentality. We need to get our heads back into the game after so long off.

I know that this has been a messed up year so far. Wish it could be better for all of us...

Wednesday October 7th

No practice tomorrow (Thursday). We have a coaches meeting to determine just what we're going to do about all of these rainouts. Expect to practice on Saturday even though I will be out of town. Hopefully Coach Benjie and Coach Nye will be there to get us ready for Terry White on Monday.

Will let everyone know what happens after our meeting!

MONDAY UPDATE: 4:15pm

Game is cancelled. Fields are too wet. No word on the make up game date. If this stands and we don't play tomorrow, then we may be playing Monday and Tuesday nights for the rest of the year. Nobody looks forward to back-to-back football games. Stay tuned for more info....
